Nice blog post. I think you guys should bring demo CD-R's of those early bands to the anniversary shows for the fans. I'm sure Rambunctious Llamas rock!

.: Thanks for the updates, Bill. Because of your mention of them, I have been listening to Real Estate and enjoying the sound.

When Surf's Up (the album) was released in 1971, my friend Barry Zilkie bought a copy for me. Didn't take me long to fall in love with the title track as well as the two brilliant Carl Wilson songs, Feel Flows and Long Promised Road. Unfortunately, I can't listen to the Spotify version because Spotify still isn't available in Canada.

I am grateful to have the time and resources to make the trip to Boston to see the second and third shows, on the 26th and 27th, especially if BT will take a break after these shows. I look forward to your new tunes and a third solo album. I hope I will get the opportunity to say at least hello at one of those two shows.

Best regards,
Randy

Great cover. Although I like their 60's stuff, I think their 80's period is my favorite. Ray Davies is playing Boston a few days before your BT show weekend. Maybe you can convince him to stay the week and play this with you?

You know, I kind of thought you might get around to this one. I find that a lot of the songs you cover are the same ones I work on. I didn't realize I gravitate towards G-D songs until you mentioned it in a previous post. Thanks for the COTW's, you're spreading joy, brother.

BTW, will you be recording a guitalele album, similar to Eddie's ukelele album? Then you two could do a mini-acoustic tour together. (PJ played here last Friday, awesome show.)

.: Bill, this is so brilliant. The palm trees, sunglasses, yacht rock imagery! Now I have to go look for a guitalele. Never knew such a thing existed.

Seriously hoping to make it to Boston for 1 or 2 of the late November shows. Hope life is treating you and the family well.

Kind regards always,
Randy
