In December, I finished the first draft of my Leon Russell biography, which will hopefully be published in Spring 2023 by Hachette Books. As January is a slow time for my day job, I have taken the creative momentum from the book project and channeled it into music. Buffalo Tom is slowly but surely working on new songs we have been writing over the past few years, but I have also been experimenting with drum loops and a Line 6 Helix guitar processor. Some of these were riffs I had lying around but half or more are pieces I built up from drum loops. They fall into various categories of funk, stoner rock, space rock, classic rock, psychedelia, and other such stuff. There are two EPs of eight songs up on my Bandcamp page.
